Has anyone ever see someone lay a job box on its end so the door swings open as a cabinet, or on its face so the door swings up and provides cover?
I am considering putting this 60" on its face, on the driver's side so that I might access it from the ground. This way I still have ~6' x 9'...
Current answer: wrench bags, buckets for the straps and chains, and tool tubs for stuff that I pull in and out for projects.
Future answer: Knaack toolbox or collapsible/removable/lockable bed cap with some sort of organization inside. Still looking into options.
It wasn't today, but still working on trying to clean and organize it. I'd like to figure out a place to put my most-often-used tools, which might end up being near the door.
I've actually been contemplating this idea this past week.
Every side project that I do, specifically outdoor construction projects, require me to unload my tools, carry around to the other side of the house, have them sitting down in the grass, and pick whatever I need from there. It's...
I refilled 2 gas containers for my heater. Not looking forward to the cold weather but thankful that I might have some heat. We'll see how bad/good the barn retains heat with it's R2 vapor barrier.
I built the frames a while ago and got the vapor barrier installed but than it took me a long while to get back to it because I couldn't figure out which route I wanted to take.
Went with metal on the lower left door first. Than hung a wood sheet up to see what it would look like. But after...
Garage update: I think I'm getting there. It's already tight with the truck but not as tight with my other 2 vehicles, thankfully.
Goals for the future - more gravel to finish the "apron" and better close off under the doors, as well as line the fence on the north end where I have a Knaack...
I have, but I like the clean look of conduit and I can run multiple circuits in the same conduit also. If I do short jogs from a fixed point to a movable object, I'll consider the MC cable.
Besides wondering if I should spend the money to mount the panel closer to the walk-door - which would require 210 ft (approximately) of 3/0 or 2/0 cable, I also wonder if I should go with PVC or EMT for running wires. I don't want romex because it'll be surface mounted and I want a clean look...
When I used to work on a post-frame crew, we'd do all sorts of different heights with laminated posts, 8' oc, with trusses attached on them. I'm not sure what the tallest was, but it was a grain elevator shed with only 2 "solid" walls and 2 "door" walls - and they were laminated posts from the...
All this insurance talk and all I can think about is if someone broke into my chaos of storage, it'd be difficult to know what was stolen until I needed it..
Maybe I'll be able to take inventory when I finish the barn and start organizing. And than I'll reconfirm with state farm that my...
Sorry - maybe I'm just not looking at this right, but $1450 is hardly cheap. If that were cheap, I'd pay twice that and get concrete installed for my floor.
But, I understand the sentiment and that it would be done. I'm just not happy about it. :(
Yea - that's not a bad idea.
Looks like Menards has a 16 x 10 for $1200+. No opener included at lower prices.
$640 for a 16' x 6.5' garage door.
$1450 for R6.5 16x10 door - no opener.
Getting a quote from midwest garage doors for something.
Haven't given up on the idea of any of my...
