    WTB: International Harvester Tools

Seen a 3/4 Ratchet IH (Wright 6400) and a mix of what seemed a complete set of various brands some of which were Mac and others all in a case. However the guy at the flea market had a $300 price on the box but he might be able to be talked down. I personally have an incomplete set of 7, 3/8...

    Fleet Screwdrivers

All I found is a 1/4 socket driver handle in "fair-good" condition. It's orange or a dark yellow w/ a red cap. I've seen some Challenger ones and some Penens but I cannot remember if I saw any Fleet screwdrivers at the "Alpine Flea Market" in Rockford IL. Sorry... I'll have to remember to look...

    Tiger Tools??

I found a dbl box offset wrench as well last weekend. Its a 3/4 by 25/32 12pt has same "Tiger Tools" on it and "U.S.A.". I thought it ringed a bell when I found it, and search for this old thread.

    Cman RHFT Ratchets

I totally agree. I have it in all three sizes and four brand-variants in a 1/2 in different places. This is often my favorite 1/2 head-design and Will- S-52 being a very close second as long as they work in a given application easily w/ extension and/or flex. It's got to be one of the most...

    Bull's Everything $1 Tool Sale

Re: Bull's (Almost) Everything $3 Tool Sale None it would seem at Peddler in Rockford in their hugh NOS Thorsen bin. Plenty of =USA= 5/8; 13/16; 11/16, small metrics all in a 3/8-12pt version.

Are these Craftsman ratchets made in USA?

Here is ToolTopia.com Link of some other Gearwrench ratchet sets Comfort Grip versions - Amazon Other Amazon ones for price comparison BTW Armstrong Maxx has the same 60-tooth ratchet head and comes in locking flex-heads like Matco's version. Like Toolpants said these non-quick-release...

    Sweet little 1/4" Craftsman =V=

It's an Indestro/Duro contracted production for Craftsman. It has a one-piece pawl. I have the exact same one I got for $5. It has 24 teeth and feels very nice. I actually have a "rebuild" kit for this in my yellowed Indestro/Duro rebuild kit collection. Of course like many older well made...

    Bonney oh sweet Bonney

I actually put Permatex in a 1/2 4 month ago. It about a half-hour to get it in the tiny oil-hole & work it into the ratchet since this is before I learned about the soaking in ATF (since I didn't want to used 3-in-1) and had to wiggle the drive gear which hardly budged before. I'd have to say...

How useful is a flex head ratchet?

I second that. Go for an Armstrong or Matco flex and you will be solid. Their a little more expensive, but if you get them new off Ebay that can save you quite a bit. There was new Armstrong 1/2's Maxx for $100 shipped for a while on Ebay. I wish Gearwrench made a locking one. If you get a used...

to dip or not to dip....

My preference for cleaning rust on wrenches tends to be several drops of motor oil and those 3-for-$1 "generic" heavy duty scotch-brite pads. Or on something more rusty... copper wool w/oil (thought I read something about avoiding steel-wool, but surely that got to be only if your dealing w/...

    Ratchets For Sale

My guess from the hole in the handle its a 52-tooth Duro/Indestro RHFT as the head doesn't have that spacer. ["looks on bottom"] My mistake. Forgot about that Wright from when it was first listed. Was too busy admiring the first one..

Klein Socket Set -- Brand New

Yeah, the sockets in this one is possibly SK, "at least considering the case", but other than that couldn't really say, as I have not looked at them. I've seen an individual 3/8 ratchet, that just sold on Ebay, and it it is an "unmistakable" Wright from it's head to tootsie-roll rubber handle...

    New guy from IL

Very nice 69. Welcome. My father grew up in Chicago and had a 70 SS with the same color scheme -silver w/ black stripes+vinyl. He had bought it from a teenager that had worked in an engine shop and had some performance increase, to the tune of 480hp;lighter-driveshaft,exhaust,cam, etc. The...
