I built a concrete topped desk. Haven't used them yet, but bought a polisher and pads and from what I read, would easily remove those scratches. I've read I actually need to go easy so I don't expose the aggregate.

I'd just use a security hanger, similar to that in hotel rooms. Hardware isn't visible and costs dollars, depending on which system you use.

If its a custom color or a special order, its obviously going to be more money. Probably doesn't help that the order is likely quite small. I'd price check elsewhere, likely alot cheaper if its something someone has in stock.

Look really good. That would be one expensive bench were I live though. I was at an auction on Sunday, and old soda boxes like that were selling for $75+, you've got 16, that's around $1,200 just for the drawers.

Not sure what your budget is or how big your shop is, but a garage door, spanning from front to back would work very well. It would be efficient, would roll out of the way in the summer, and when not in use, the footprint would be very small, just a couple tracks on the front and back wall.

I personally prefer detached. I've got little kids that go to bed early and running a saw/grinder/compressor/etc. would not go over well. As I've got kids, most of the time I spend out there is when they are sleeping.
