    Borrowing tools

tool allowance??? what is that, never heard of it! my boss is to cheap to buy a scan tool where we can actually read live data when trade in cars or his buddys come in for repairs, but gets mad when we call parts and it turns out they were ok, also the few shop tools that he supplies are all...

Do I need flare nut wrenches to remove these hoses?

i would try crowfeet, if that dont work. use a pointy chisel with a hammer and slowly turn them.

    Let's see your toolbox.

ignore the fake brembo brake calipers on the wheels, co worker put them on there from a riced out customer vehicle. planning on getting a bigger box in the near future since its full as well is my cart.

Locking vs. Non-Locking Flex Head Rathets

im a tech and i prefer non locking for most of the stuff since the angle of the head often changes due to other things in the way while trying to remove a bolt, but a locking one does come in handy sometimes, top of my head would be drive belts.

Who makes the best 1/2" impact Sockets

just buy the pro point from princess auto, they often go on sale. i only bought the metric set(10mm-36mm) since that is all i need but they also have sae. the sockets are engraved and laser edged, they look exactly like sunex so wouldn't be surprised if they are made in the same factory. dont...

any Canadian here?which one is better Jet or mastercraft maximum?

honestly i use mastercraft tools every day as an automotive technician along with snap on mac sk etc. mastercraft rebrands alot of gearwrench and stanley tools, so you are getting "medium quality tools" which work just as good as the truck brands for dirt cheap when bought on sale. when i go on...

    Snap-on flex head too tight?

yes the joint will loosen up after a while. the reason why its stiff when new is because it has a lock washer on one side between the handle and head of the joint, putting pressure against the walls. if you want it to be loose just remove the washer. i prefer the stiff joint over the loose but...

    What size of pliers wrench?

i'd go with 7 and 12. where a 6" fits most likely a 7" will fit plus extra leverage same goes for 10 and 12. i did the same with the cobras 7" and 12" + 16" :D which was a good move.
