Hydraulic crimpers for 6 - 2/0 awg with properly sized dies?

I think it was your thread that that caused me to post this. I was all set to go with the exact set you linked to, but then I found your comments, which were initially promising but I couldn't tell for sure if you thought you chose the wrong die or if you chose which should have been the correct...

Hydraulic crimpers for 6 - 2/0 awg with properly sized dies?

This is my understanding, but my understanding is based entirely on reading what others have said. When that's the case, I keep my mouth shut and listen to what others have to say.

Hydraulic crimpers for 6 - 2/0 awg with properly sized dies?

I have spent the last week trying to find a somewhat reasonably priced ($300 or less) hydraulic crimper with dies that are not improperly sized, and literally every crimper I find has a slew of reviews by people who appear to know what they are talking about claiming the dies are improperly...

    Work Boots!

I think you can add Nick’s to that list, or at least you could ten years ago. Maybe things have changed, as tends to happen.

Any Lufkin outside micrometers with .0001 resolution?

Still looking for a good set of Lufkin outside mics with a .0001 resolution. I'll be starting my project soon, so I'll be buying off of Ebay, unless someone on here wants to sell their set to a good home.

Good tool companies in Latin America?

After seeing the rig that guy is running, I am now considering moving to Latin America to rep a tool line. I just need to brush up on the Spanish I learned in my 10th grade Spanish class.

Good tool companies in Latin America?

That is what I suspected. I am guessing the particular airline (Avianca) has made arrangements with various tool companies to ensure their techs have access to quality tools. It's not like Avianca is a backwards, puddle hopping airline.

Good tool companies in Latin America?

Yeah, it looks like Urrea produces quality tools. Thank you for confirming.

Good tool companies in Latin America?

That's exactly what I was looking for. Never heard of Urrea. I have no doubt there are countless companies in other countries producing high quality hand tools on a large scale that I have never heard of. If my friend makes it through the program, I thought Snap-On dual 80 sealed ratchet would...

Good tool companies in Latin America?

I have a Colombian friend who is going to attend Avianca's aviation tech school program. While discussing this, this naturally caused me to ponder the state of the hand tool industry in Latin America, and after 5 minutes of googling, I didn't find any clear answers. Anyone familiar with the...

Tool liquidation - I NEED ROOM

If you can set aside a weekend to price out everything, you should consider holding a two or three day "garage sale." Around my neck of the woods, any garage sale involving tools generates a stampede of buyers. Just figure out how most people advertise garage sales in your area and follow suit...

    Hurricane Harvey Tool Loss

I have a significant amount of experience with this type of thing. It pains me to say this, but you are likely **** out of luck. As for your employer's liability, you will need to establish that their negligence caused your tool loss or that a bailment relationship existed between you and your...

    Smaller Chainsaw?

I picked one if these up a couple years ago, and it is my favorite hand filing system by far: https://m.stihlusa.com/products/chain-saws/filing-tools/2in1file/

    Need to Fill Tool Chest!

If I were doing it all over again, I would purchase SK chrome socket sets, Sunex impact socket sets, Wright wrench sets, and screwdrivers from whatever manufacturer you prefer. Unless you are prepared to drop serious coin on a true mechanic's set of tools designed for people starting their...

    Best cordless screwdrivers?

Count me as another vote for the Bosch 12v line. I have bought Makita cordless power tools almost exclusively for 2+ decades. When I moved a couple years back, I decided to go "airless" at my new home and rely exclusively on brushless power tools since "big power" 1/2 in impact wrenches were...
