Go here and look at the drawing with the two receiver hitches (bench grinder and vise) http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109087 . Now instead of having a bench grinder and vise inserted into the open square tube of the bench. I want to fab up another set of legs. Just to...
I could try to draw it up. Although imagine one regular work bench with 4 legs. The with both top and bottom rails opened to allow another square tube to be inserted. Like a trailer hitch into a square tube on your truck.
Now imagine taking another 4 legged table and cutting the front facing...
Actually you can improve on Jamie's design quite a bit. I plan on building a workbench similar to his but mine would have another row of legs to it instead of 2 halves of a bench like his setup. I would be building it with square tube, and have the end braces open allowing me to slide my...

Op it's all about the air compressor regarding how fast you can sandblast something. What size compressor do you have? Also extra tanks wont ry help that much if the pump on the compressor is weak or low cfm. 5hp 80 gallon minimum! Devil bliss, ingersol rand, champion are good compressors. It's...
Combine the pressure pot/ blaster with the cyclone cabinet if possible? That way you get to reclaim the media since it is in a closed cabinet and also have the pressure pot with dead man's handle.... Which will allow you to blast at a much more rapid rate then syphon feeding the media.
Get a drive pully and a 1 hp single phase motor. Trust me it will be cheaper, the phase converter is more then a single phase motor and pully. I looked into this I know.
to the OP, its all about AIR "CFM" to be exact. If your going to blast anything of size. Control arm, rims, ect. your current compressor isn't going to cut it at all. You will need at least 17cfm or more. Most compressors in that range will cost $800-$1500 used minimum 7.5hp to 10 hp motor...
