Just read the rest of the SD thread. Sounds like this deal may not pan out. Code doesnt seem to work anymore and many people are claiming the order was cancelled.

I wouldnt worry about the swirl marks. The important thing is making sure it obsorbs water and there is no film or powder of the surface after grinding.

I have a rinnai (sp?) tank-less unit. It works well BUT it can take a while to get the hot water from one side of the house to the other. Tank-less hot water heaters aren't necessarily "instant" hot water heaters. I'd consider them more of an unlimited hot water heater. There are ways to plumb...
