Honda Crank Bolt - Using Old High (Mid by Today Standards) Torque Impact, Will it be Enough?

I've worked on a couple of these and the weighted socket is the magic bullet. I think it lets the impact "wind up" a lot more momentum and hit the bolt harder. The momentum also keeps the socket from rebounding as quickly and clattering on the bolt head without doing much. I would definitely use...

Interlocking of 2 Loads from 1 Circuit

Couple of questions: Where is this located and what codes are in effect? What is an "em switch"? Are these both gas appliances? If they're electric, there's no way they can share a circuit if theyre both running at the same time. Why are they listed as "15A"? Do they need dedicated circuits?

How to clean up mangled threads on threaded rod?

If two nuts are jammed against each other like whateg described, they won't turn if you hold on to the correct one. I'd double nut close to the mangled area and grab one nut with the bench vise to hold it still for cleaning up with the die.

Need some advice on a Swim Spa installation

You're still confused and arguing with licensed electricians. The solution being proposed in this thread is satisfying the "spa on a dedicated branch circuit" code requirement. The fact that the dedicated branch circuit breaker is on a (properly-sized and properly-wired) subpanel instead of the...

    VA Garage Gang

Hopefully not dead, but definitely dormant. Thanks for bumping it up, I've been here a while but have never seen the thread. I'm near Ashburn and would be interested in reviving the thread and maybe starting some meet ups. Typically when I see someone here mention they're in VA/NOVA I follow...

Put wire from breaker to water well pump 20 feet away?

You cannot use NM-B in a wet/damp location, underground inside conduit is a wet location.

I'm not sure he could have explained it any clearer, and you still need to argue with it?

Making my 70 El Camino a show car

From the quality of everything we see in your threads I think I'm the last guy to be giving you advice, but I would take a close look at protecting those wires with grommets and also making sure that all of the strands are intact before lugs are crimped.

    Range plug wiring

You're talking about the fact that the ground socket in the receptacle looks kind of "D" shaped but the plug has a round ground pin, right? That's OK, you have the correct mating parts. If the visual helps, some of the 14-50 plugs look like this, but any 14-50 plug will work in your receptacle...

What size lift slab to build? - How much extra space front, rear, and sides?

I assume that when the posts are further apart, the arms need to be swung out further to reach the vehicle, so the moment arm is not the same.

resistor identification - fixed, thanks to all that helped!

I don't want to get this thread hung up on it, but even in that example 5 band, the black multiplier band is 10^0 = 1, not 10^1. Agree that brown black black black is 100ohms though. OP, as soon as you can confirm that last band is gold and the physical dimensions, finding a new resistor is...

resistor identification - fixed, thanks to all that helped!

Why do people keep saying 100ohm? @brooktre, this is a 10ohm resistor.
