Here is my woodshed, 110 feet from the house and garage. Seventeen winters with no major issues. I burn about ten cords to heat 2000' house, 870' garage and 260' woodwork shop. What could be better would be more roof overhang to stove as it dumps snow right by the stove door.

Recently I hit on a system that had alluded me for 50 years. I use an open top catch pan BUT, I change the FILTER FIRST.
The catch pan is empty and if the filter slips it doesn't splash oil from the pan.
I deal with the used filter immediately, and only then do I drain the rest of the oil...
My avatar shows me using my 98 Stihl with a 56" bar. I bought the thing at a yard sale to hang on the wall of my garage but actually get to use it about once a year. Yes, it take two people to use it. Once it is placed on a log the second person isn't needed till the cut is finished.

Thanks Flat350, I hadn't got as far as having any ideas of price to do this. Interesting to note that there was actually a guarantee against future sagging. I don't know if such a business exists in my area or not. I will have to do some research.
