    Sam’s Club -VS- Costco

It's also worth noting that the occasional Costco provides propane refilling - obviously subject to the zoning and other regulations of the area.

    Sam’s Club -VS- Costco

Costco pharmacy is excellent, and low priced. Most importantly, you don't need a membership (or Visa card) to use it, so it is a good way to check out the store. Just tell the guy checking membership cards at the door you are there for pharmacy business.

I seem to be at a point where I don't need any new tools for the first time I can recall.

I'd be ashamed to admit I needed six feet of leverage to tighten anything in the range of 1/2" drive.....

    Maintenance and inventory tracking

I received an email about this today -Amsoil - My Garage. I haven't looked at it but it sounds like part (maintenance tracking) of what you're asking for. Appears to be both internet and phone. Keeping track of vehicle maintenance can be a hassle. Some people end up with greasy notebooks...

    Cutting trusses

Are you planning to custom-size or re-orient the sheetrock and decking to accomodate this?

    Floor plan/layout software?

I'm searching for something similar. So far the best ROI on learning effort is with Smartdraw. Nice balance of ease vs function for basic layout and floorplanning. Free trial for several days, then $8/mo.

    Titan 1/4-3/8" Stubby Rachet...Decent?

I bought the Titan one from Amazon and there was something sloppy about it - I think the flex head. I bought the equivalent one from Northern Tool in person and all the ones on the shelf were fine. I find it to be perfectly functional.

Move over Harbor Freight Vevor opens first physical store

Bought a 10" drill press last year, which would have been nice except for the play in the quill.

    Generator Selection and Install

An advantage of a manual transfer switch (automatic as well?) is that it allows you to add breakers, which will be the circuits you want to drive from the generator. It is a toggle between the incoming power and generator power for those circuits. An interlock is just a sliding plate that lets...

    Generator Selection and Install

Yes - known as Portable Power Stations. Also good for recharging phones and cordless stuff (flashlights, fans) when you don't want to run the generator quite yet.

    Generator Selection and Install

If you want a DIY option for gas/NG, "Snorkle" kits are available. I think Nash is the best recognized. Aside from Honda (the recognized best, and priced accordingly) the ones I see most on user groups are Duromax, Champion, Westinghouse and Predator. (Edit - also Firman). It is widely...

    Generator Selection and Install

Your concern is warranted. I have the Champion 201175 - Nominally 8500 watts. Listed as 214 lbs. This sucker is heavy, even just the handle, for this seventy year old. Moving it on anything soft would be a real problem. Oddly, the 201417 is listed at 11000 watts and is nine pounds lighter...

Garage battles and war stories - Or how I almost killed myself fixing _________

At age twelve I became aware a circle track race car resided up the street, so of course I started to hang around. And naturally I got to do the low skill, undesireable jobs. The car's class allowed cutting out the rear floor pan, and running aluminum sheet vertically behind the driver, then...

    Old school jack stands

Almost sixty years ago a race team I was helping had a pair. They were extremely functional, and from what I remember, relatively light compared to the strength and stability.

Has anyone purchased a Motive pressure brake bleeder recently? Is the quality still there?

Some of the adaptors expand to fit within the neck. There are also circular chain-on types, and click-on types with a gasket.
