Success!!
After I got the package with the repair kit, I went ahead and opened the opener case. I did not find any white shavings and the gears seems to be ok but there was a lot of gray dust/shavings sitting on top of the big gear probably coming down from the bearing or something on top (not...
Yep, that is the plan. I am planning to get kit 41C4220A which seems to be widely available. Don't know for sure if it will fit as Liftmaster does not return any hits when I search in their website. I'll return it if it does not fit and look at my options again
~ $25 for the repair kit vs a...
Yes, door can be opened manually.
It's a Liftmaster if I recall. It came with the house built around 2003. I have been there ~ 3 years and my guess is that it is probably the original installed from the appearance of it and the remotes.
Visually, I can not see anything broken on the spring...
Hi,
so I came home today from work and the garage door would not open from the car. :headscrat
I get inside and my wife says she could not open it either earlier. I get a ladder to inspect things and notice that one side of the chain is tight and the other loose. Turning the opener on just...
Although I don't have the 4 drawer model I think what you experienced was poor assembly and abuse from store traffic. I have read very good things about the 4 drawer.
Thanks! Will look into it. Basically I am budgeting ~ 200 bucks for this "toy" for our cars.
I am actually surprised at these prices and how much they have fallen in the last few years. Probably support is sketchy and code has been "reversed engineered". But hey if it works!
Yep, that is the plan hopefully this weekend.
Yep, You can do 3 days for $20.

I learned about that in this forum from another user (can't recall who). I have not used it though since I have been able to get most of the repair...
Yeah, maybe worth a shot. I will try my local Chevrolet dealer and see .....
Yeah, this is an option but wanted to find out 100% it's the module on my own. But have not found a way. Looks like there is no surefire way for a DIY to 100% diagnose this issue. Don't want to be throwing parts at it...
That is my feeling too hence my attempt to try to DIY and self diagnose. Problem is I have not been able to find out how to for sure condemn either the receiver or the tpms sensors on my own. I will gladly pay 1.5 hrs as that is very reasonable.
Based on my online research looks like I need...
Did you do this yourself or had the dealer do it? Do you recall if the module has an antenna or it was by itself?
There is no single fuse for the TPMS/RKE system (see attachments). That system is powered by the DSPLY fuse which powers a bunch of other components. Tape? :D I would have to tape...
[Long Post Warning] :Help:
Wondering if there is anyone here who may have experience with GM's Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
For a few months I have been experencing issues with my TPMS on my 08 GMC Acadia. Last fall after initial issues (pressure readings showing dashes) I replaced all...
