I think having the trim run unlevel with floor would look draw more attention than having a gap that will blend in with the concrete. I would say extend it as much as you can. I have a 20x20 and would love an extra 6'. That way my work area would not double as a parking spot. Obviously you have to weigh out the additional cost, but I can't see how it wouldn't be worth it.
