I'm a believer now in coating for dailies and queens. Granted it only been a few months since I coated my M3, but it's still so slick and clean.

Spark plugs are generally straight forward DIY as long as it's not a boxer engine with limited clearance. VW with cylinder holes pointing up should be easy (ish).

Ditto. Say it on my Insta feed and immediately thought of him. Sorry to hear about Hof

For my birthday, I got some car themed stuff so I figured I'd share. Too hot to be in the garage, so this weekends project was working on the calibration of the speakers in the media room as we finally got a sofa we liked for it, so I don't have to sit on the floor any longer. My wife got me a...

    The Bimmer Basement

Happy belated birthday to the 8/18 crew. I was working on cleaning up the old valve cover from the E92, and I was considering just putting it up as artwork like the OE exhaust, but saw your key chain holder and was considering doing that. For my birthday my wife got me a 3D printed read...

Looks like you have had a great summer with the experiences with the boys and Berta and starting the discussion with the wife on the move. Congrats man!! The Cobra is rodent free, but I'm waiting for the local Cobra specialist to have a spot open to work on it. Given that it's 102 today, I'm...

Garage is feeling cooler. I think it's mainly not having the radiant heat blast you when next to the garage doors. I also did my first maintenance wash of the BMW post coating, and it's beading up way more any any wax I'd previously done. Not sure I want to go through all the effort on the...

That garage door is compact! And with the covering in the driveway it's not going to get beat on by the sun so you don't need aggressive insulation in it. I'm liking what you have done.

Detailing a white car really is just something for yourself. The car looked almost exactly the same after all that cleaning and sealing. lol But I'm happy it got some needed love. Today I did get proof something had been done. I pulled the M3 out of the garage to adjust the garage door...

Those lights look like the same design as the Barrina's a few of us bought from Amazon in the past. I've had mine for almost 2 years now, and they have held up great, and definitely make it bright inside.

Sorry to hear about the rain in the house. I walked into my garage this evening and it said 105. Any relief would be beneficial. Nice move with the lighter color.

@Purist It took me longer than planned, but I finally made the time to full detail and ceramic coat the E92. Between being a white car and photos, it doesn't really show up but over the last two weekends I've been giving some love to the exterior of the M3. First came a rinse and iron...

@kppolich I may fill in some, but the bar closest to the garage doors moves forward, as the lift goes up, and isn't high enough to clear the tile in the center. The section closest to the back wall could be filled in but only partially. Doing that would leave it "floating" as it wouldn't be...

PSA moment of true first world problems. Saturday I spent 7 hours trying to get into the 911. While my 4 1/2 year old battery wasn't dead (and hadn't been on a trickle charger or driven in a month, it decided to go to sleep along with the car and would not wake up. 2hrs of fiddling with the key...
