    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I recently sold my well used makita 18v brushless set of hammer drill, impact driver, circular saw, blower with 3 batteries to buy Milwaukee M12 tools. Due to the sales at HD and a rep being there I did ok on pricing. I picked up the m12 fuel set with hammer drill, impact driver, 2 and 4 ah...

Savannah area Wilton Bullet - $60

Yeah, I'm crying that I'm not closer. The 10 hr round trip drive has crossed my mind a few times this morning but just too far to go. Hope someone here gets it and posts their brag thread though so I can live vicariously through them.

Savannah area Wilton Bullet - $60

Well it appears to be gone as the listing is deleted now. If any GJ members scored it let us know. :) Not my listing and don't know if it's still available but seems like a good deal to me for $60. I would have grabbed it but it's about 5 hours drive from me which is just too far...

    GRINDER - Baldor 610 or Craftsman 397.19590 ?

He has it on one of the $20 HF stands now but wants to keep the stand for something else. He thinks the other eye shield and original cast iron tool rest are buried in the barn somewhere too so I'm hoping I can find them at some point too. He replaced one of the tool rests with a home made one...

Too many other tools that I need first before a 2nd grinder, but I know what you are saying. :bounce:

    GRINDER - Baldor 610 or Craftsman 397.19590 ?

You guys are funny. I know there is a lot of space in the form of nooks and crannies, but I really don't need 2 grinders right now. Just want 1 even if it means changing wheels from time to time. And dr_clyde is right. The Baldor is the one my Father is giving me, not the craftsman. ;)

    GRINDER - Baldor 610 or Craftsman 397.19590 ?

Thanks for the terrific reply. Your link to all of the info on the Craftsman is where I initially started looking through CL for one to begin with. :) If the Craftsman block were local I would likely snap it up as you said. That said, it's nearly 150 miles away and they are asking $150...

    GRINDER - Baldor 610 or Craftsman 397.19590 ?

Thanks guys. I think as nice as the Craftsman looks, that for sentimental reasons I'm going to accept Dad's offer on the Baldor and use it. I resisted taking it away from him numerous times but he assures me that he just doesn't use it when he offered it. Will be a nice restoration project...

    GRINDER - Baldor 610 or Craftsman 397.19590 ?

:) If I bought the Craftsman I would leave the baldor with my Dad so he could still use it if ever needed. It will be mine one day anyway and I'm sure it will still be running regardless of how many years that may be. (long, long time I hope) My garage workshop is packed right now with stuff...

    GRINDER - Baldor 610 or Craftsman 397.19590 ?

Don't have room for both. Other than the restoration project I would do on the Baldor, am I giving up or gaining anything with one over the other?

    GRINDER - Baldor 610 or Craftsman 397.19590 ?

Thanks. Now I'll throw in the twist. The Baldor is my fathers and the Craftsman is a CL find. The Craftsman looks awesome to me too but I've not seen it in person as it's a few hours drive away. I can easily pick it up on my next trip past but at this point I've only spoken to the person...

    GRINDER - Baldor 610 or Craftsman 397.19590 ?

Looking to pick up a bench grinder. The baldor needs some new eye shields, a stand and some elbow grease. The craftsman doesn't but will cost me the same as the cost for the baldor items. Will be using for general workshop/woodshop purposes and sharpening blades/turning tools. How would you...

$400 to run 220v in my garage?

That's about what I paid to have a 50 amp 240v run put in for my welder. It was about a 35' run and that included wire, breaker, conduit from ceiling down to on wall box, the outlet, and the box with cover plate.
