I finally started framing almost three weeks ago, I've been too busy or tired to upload pictures. Here are a few showing some of my progress.

NATO 20 liter (5.28 gallon) gas cans

http://www.topspecus.com/shop/genuine-authentic-wavian-20l-5-gal-nato-jerry-gas-can-2238-all-colors/ OK, this may be more of a warm deal than a hot deal but I picked some up anyway. I suspect that in the future the way things are going, the sale of these may be banned nationwide like they are...

What color walls does everyone have in the garage?

My last shop had bright gloss white ceiling and upper walls. Lower 4' of walls was light gray. My new shop will be the same.

What kind of tools have you found in the road??

I am a frequent "road shopper". I guess it started when I was 4 years old. Living on a dirt road, I saw a county tractor drive by, hit a bump and a large hammer fell off. He kept driving. Mom let me climb the fence to retrieve it. It was a 2lb Plumb ball-peen hammer. That was about 48 years ago...

    New Concrete Slab Inquiry

tch, did you decide on a sealer? I too have a new slab, poured the first week of November and I am looking for a similar product. Legacy, would the HD39 work for this application? I am looking for sealing and stain resistance. Mine is a slick machine troweled finish.

    New 32x40 build in Georgia.

The 32x40 slab and the 29x34 parking pad are now complete. I am planning to build in the March/April time-frame. Until then I will watch the concrete cure and dream about my shop. Here are a few pictures.

The slab got poured today. The weather cooperated and gave us a sunny and 70 degree day. Slab is 32x40, steel on chairs, used 36 yards of fiber-mesh. "J" bolts every 32". Looks real good. Here's some action pictures!

Very true. The only county inspections I have experienced so far, the site survey and the slab prep, were 100% by the book. With my recent experience, I would characterize it more as being "thorough" than being "difficult". So far so good!

We are using Fairburn Ready Mix. Thanks. My county and my HOA do not allow an accessory building to be taller than your house, hence the 10' walls. I am also using scissor trusses in the center to make the interior height just over 13' to accommodate a lift.
