I think it might be normal to leak a little bit of hydraulic fluid when disconnecting/connectioning. I see it like a coupling on an air hose. When you connect/disconnect your fittings it makes a 'pssss' sound and depending how long you struggle with connecting it, the more air will come out...

QuickJack Portable Lift - Setup, Use, Review

Bendpak's website has the two numbers mixed up. The BL3500 has a 20 inch lift height and the BL5000 has a 22 inch lift height. Talking for the BL5000, the 22 inch height can be achieve with stacking both the smaller and bigger rubber blocks to achieve 22 inches in height. I have the BL5000...

Has anyone tried to apply grease or some kind of lubricant into the joints? I know there is a little hole at the center of each of the joints. What kind of tool do you use to inject grease and what kind of lubricant do you use?

Seems like both the Eclipse and Cobalt uses "Pinch Weld", so the 50.5 shouldn't matter so much. As long as it's in the middle of the car and on the pinch weld, I think you will be fine.

There shouldn't be any extra hoses. You should have 2 long and 2 short hoses. The short ones go into your hydraulic cylinder attached by the "L" fittings then to a quick disconnect plug (or to the male plug if you are doing it the other way). The long hoses goes to you hydraulic pump. Might...

I believe they were having some issue sourcing a mini-pump vendor in the beginning. Thus, from what it seems this pump unit is different from the original pump they were showing in their pictures. Guess that's why thing aren't aligning as they should. Not a big deal because i do think that...

Yeah you will have to turn the metal bar 180 degree to make it work. Also by doing that, the metal bar will be offset to the left side. The back side should have the metal bar sticking out a bit.

The metal bar with the 4 holes is to raise the pump up and let it sit perfectly horizontal to the holder. Without that metal bar the pump it is sitting on the holder and resting on the cooling fins and it'll add addition stress on the hydraulic reservoir. If you lay the pumping unit with the...

My instruction booklet was Rev B. and it didn't say anything about the air canister. The 50 PSI max limit is a sticker on the air canister itself. I didn't have instruction on how to mount the pump to the holder either. I had a really hard time placing the pump on the holder and making the...

QuickJack - for those of you wondering

There is no pressure in the air canister from the manufacturer. There's actually hydraulic or some sort of shipping oil inside the canister. I read where others open up the screw and tilt it so the oil can drip out. I did just that and then screw on the Shrader valve and pumped it to 50 PSI...

first mod to the quickjack just add an earth magnet to the brace bar. It help hold the bar in place when raising/lowering the lift. It also helps lock the brace bar into the cup better and keeps it close the the frame. Got this magnet from an old computer hard drive. You can get 2 magnet...

How about another modification request to the QuickJack. Adding a side plate to the brace bar cup to prevent the cup from bending on the outside and prevent the bar from sliding out in case the bar gets loose at the joint.

JSK, how about this as an idea to extend the length of the platform. Maybe create a accessory plate sleeve that the user can slide into the top bar to extend the platform. The metal sleeve wraps around the top bar and can slide back and forth when needed. So at 50.5 inch standard length and...
