    3-wire Subpanel in detached

Yeah no question the "conduit" used was Plumbing grade PVC.... Still have no idea if it runs continuously from the Source panel at the house to the garage.... Obviously I have a considerable amount of code violations here..... It's very frustrating to me that they took the time to run wire, use...

    3-wire Subpanel in detached

The 3" conduit comes up through the concrete in the corner of the garage below the subpanel and elbows into the wall.... I'm assuming the wires are bare inside the wall from this elbow to the subpanel.

    3-wire Subpanel in detached

This is exactly what I was expecting but hoping not to hear..... You're correct forgot to mention the part about no grounding rods either..... SMH...... Guessing this work was DIY done by the previous home owner and no inspection was done at the time of install.

    3-wire Subpanel in detached

Hi everyone! I currently have a small 8 circuit subpanel in my detached that I've quickly outgrown. I am going to be installing a mini split in the next month or so and realized I was going to have to swap out the existing subpanel for a larger capacity panel. I went ahead and bought a 20...

    Ramps for Scissor Lift

I went with the wood style also....Each ramp is made in 3 overlapping pieces and removable (I haven't once needed to remove them though in the couple years I've had the lift). I wrapped the decking in cheap carpet just to give them a little bit more of a finished look. Works out perfect for me...

Why is pegboard so disappointing? Am I doing it wrong?

I am happy with my Pegboard at this point.... I have been very back and forth over the last 10 years i've lived with this garage.... I definitely see the value in having everything in a cabinet or toolbox but also feel like having a limited amount of frequently used tools at hand can be an...

    "Two Car" Garage Renovation

Maybe "box in" the banister and finish it as a half wall kind of look and then hang the signs on on this half wall/banister. Garage looks awesome by the way!! Good job! Everytime I see someone finishing, painting, and putting in a nice floor it makes me crazy! I want to get mine done sooooo...

    Mini Split for Heating Primarily?

I looked through your Mini Split thread and am thoroughly impressed! Great work! However the DIY factor of not having to have a tech come out and refuse to service(pull a vacuum and charge) a unit they didn't sell or install is a big hurdle for me to overcome. I'm surprise more companies...

    Mini Split for Heating Primarily?

Thanks for the reply that part makes sense now...... This is exactly why I'm leaning towards the DIY kit...... Getting a company to come out and work on a unit they didn't sell or install will be a complete nightmare in my area ...... if not impossible..... hence my original post discussing a...

    Mini Split for Heating Primarily?

Thanks for your input! Didn't realize it was in the teens frequently in the panhandle! That makes me feel more confident in my choice as my building is a fair amount smaller than yours. -Tyler

    Mini Split for Heating Primarily?

Awesome Feedback thank you! So when you say they are pre-charged I'm a little confused... I thought only the DIY units come precharged.... This making them "DIY". The other units have to have a vacuum pulled and then be charged by a tech using their refrigerant correct? Or is the unit itself...
