What would be a good flooring for a workshop but for a 2nd story (not a concrete floor)? So nothing oily or anything from cars, more so maybe woodworking and stuff like that?

Well I'm saying can I add JUST the first story, with plans of adding the 2nd story within maybe 6 months. What you explained sounds like you added the 2nd story and left it unfinished inside temporarily (unless I understood wrong)

I briefly looked through your thread so far, looks great! If you don't mind, roughly what have you spent in slab and block? I'm in tampa and getting plans drawn up for a similar sized building but 15ft high block, just curious roughly what you have invested.

Sorry about that lol. I'm in south florida so its pretty flat. Its just going to be a garage for my cars and toys and tools. Just stuff I do as a hobby, like I want a wood working area, small paint booth area. There will be probably 6 or 7 cars in there also.

Curious how thick I should go throughout, and how thick for the spot I plan to install a lift in the future. Its going to be roughly 50x50x16 block. 6" throughout?
