“Made in USA” stamping changed to American flag. COO Changes?

If it looks like a duck . . . you are right they would 100% keep the made in usa stamping if nothing changed. For those of us with tinfoil hats, maybe this is their attempt to try and backdoor swap to a different COO after a few years and hope nobody notices the changeover.

Does anybody have a smaller toolcart with just the 80% most used tools separate from the bigger toolbox?

Depends what you work on, if you're a dealer tech and only work on 1 make then this would be pretty easy, say you only need to carry an 8/10/13/15/17/19mm socket set then you can put half of your 3/8 sockets into your other box. If you're in a private garage and work on everything then you're...

Does anybody have a smaller toolcart with just the 80% most used tools separate from the bigger toolbox?

I love it, I did upgrade from a 5-drawer so there is much more space, but it also weighs way more with the more tools in it. It's not the easiest to push around the shop, but definitely possible. I work in a diesel shop so there is way more room, if i had to maneuver it around or under a 2/4...

Does anybody have a smaller toolcart with just the 80% most used tools separate from the bigger toolbox?

I think the price is heavily inflated because it's an easy bolt-on addition for their 2/3 bay epiq toolboxes. Sort of how they charge 5k for a hutch which is just sheet metal with a lid bolted on. These are just options they try to sell you when you're buying the big main box. People that...

Depends on the promo and negotiations, you can get boxes for 25-50% off list price, but yes there are people who finance for the full price listed on the website.

Mechanic's tool set with highest % of sockets for the money for the vehicle kit?

Home depot has a sale every year, usually Christmas, where they have a 250 or 270 piece set in one of those 3 tier cases for $99. The only downside is that it doesn't have a deep 10mm in the 3/8 drive , just grab an individual socket and put it in the included parts tray. Probably not the...

Are 14 mm head bolts always m10

Even for the nuts and bolts, you aren't gonna be breaking any nuts or bolts loose, but if you're in a real tight spot then you can stick your 1/4 inch electric ratchet in the hole (Where the 3/8 won't fit) and buzz it off if the threads aren't too rusty. Having more options is always good, even...

Does anybody have a smaller toolcart with just the 80% most used tools separate from the bigger toolbox?

I have a US General 6-drawer for 98% of my work (pro-gamer) that I roll around the shop. The other 2% I keep in a 50 inch husky box, filled with spare parts, ungodly amounts of junk that might be useful 6 months down the road, and random specific tools I don't need to push around all day like...

What midgit and XL wrenches make the most sense and are the most useful to own?

That's why I like to keep a set of junk wrenches in my box that I don't care about to cut up or modify whenever I need to, cause usually when you need that special wrench, you REALLY need it right then and there.

    Proto torque adapters

That's criminal if they did the swap-a-roo, my coworker has a set and they are stamped usa

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

Man, I'm a little jealous of those Hazet carts, look like they would make some pretty sweet teardown carts to store parts on. This is my 34 inch US-General roll cart, had it for about a year now, some of it's organized really well and some other drawers I've pretty much given up hope

    Proto torque adapters

Cornwell has a metric and standard set that they sell for between $150-175 each, hands down cheapest USA made set you will find, the Sunex set floats between $75-90 on Amazon. I have a Snap-On and Matco torque adapter and they both sit flush on the ground which I'm not a huge fan of, the...

    Tekton Tools Praise Thread

Love my Tekton 4-way wrenches, the 30/60 degree jaws like the Snap-On angle wrenches can get you into some extremely tight spots, but since the Tekton ones are machined from bar instead of forged they have a slightly slimmer head than the Snap-on. Only downside is that you can't strike the...

Stahlwille 14 or Wright Grip? Lengths and your thoughts?

One thing to note about the Wright's is you might have a long lead time on an order. Maybe just from where I ordered but it took 2 months for me to get my 7-24mm set from Palmac, not sure about other suppliers, but Palmac seems to have the best selection of anything Wright I've seen. Anybody...

Stahlwille 14 or Wright Grip? Lengths and your thoughts?

I've got the standard and metric set of the Wright grip 2.0's, best wrenches hands down. The little serrations on the jaw bite a lot harder than you might think, sometimes a little too hard though and you'll have to wrestle the wrench off the fastener. Have broken loose tons of 02/N0X sensors...
