    Looking for S-K end caps

Brownell's sells replacement caps. I have bought a couple, and can confirm they fit on Stanley and Apex (and a couple of no-name) hollow handle bit storage screwdrivers. BROWNELLS MAGNA-TIP #84 Hollow Handle Cap, White | UPC: 050806007956

Yep, both were made by Hubbard & Co.

    20th Century 32oz Ball Peen

Here's a couple of mattocks. Both made by Hubbard. Bridge Tool was a secondary line sold by Shapleigh hardware stores. The Cyclone - I think - was from the Cyclone Seeder Co., which later sold long-handled agriculture tools (according to Google). The Bridge Tool one has been used WAY more...

Here's a Montgomery Ward Powr Kraft. Made by Camillus - same as their #72. I think this variant is a #80. Still has the "Powr Kraft" etch, and fancy milled liners.

    Bell system

Going through my mom and dad's estate. Mom worked for Southwestern Bell for 30 years. I was sorting through Dad's tools and found these two. I asked my wife why do you think they would have tweezers, and she said "To pick out the splinters from climbing the poles." Duh! :)

    Post up your Thorsen tools!

Picked up a few of Dad's old tools from mom's house last week. I think Dad bought these back in the early 70s, if I remember. A set of open end SAE wrenches and a set of metric. Plus a set of 1/2 SAE sockets with 77 ratchet and an adjustable wrench.

Pliers; How Many Is Too Many?

Here's an unusual pair of (Linesman?) pliers. Diamond Edge is a Shapleigh Hardware house brand, so these were made by someone else. At first I thought they were welding pliers, due to the round prongs on the end. But then I thought they might be for bending copper wire into a circle to put on...

Yes, I have seen some discussions on that was well. I tend to think of a whittler as a 3 blades, with two small ones on one end, and a main blade on the other end that seats between the two small ones. I think the Schrade 863 (and Camillus 72, Ulster 63) is unique in that it is a balloon or...

They did - according to Sellens book. They made the model K6559 in 1912 only (just 1 year) with "Be Prepared" on the shield, and the boy Scouts of America etched on the blade. I imagine one of those would be worth a pretty penny if you could find one.
