That’s a really good thought about lubing screw threads with it. I’ve always been an Irish Spring guy for getting wood screws started.

I’ve never seen a chisel lubed but beeswax in liquid state is what I’ve seen on plane soles.

No, I have a half dozen whetstones and it isn’t that. It’s super slick and light, not porous at all. If it isn’t actually graphite it’s something almost identical.

Maybe you’re like me and it drives you crazy to throw away unused epoxy after you use what you need. I’m always keeping a mental list of cauls and whatnot I can smear with excess epoxy, this might be a great use for it if you go the route Snapmom suggests.
