Hi - I know what TPI means - the question is what does a TPI rating mean when it's a fraction. So the example I gave is 10/14 - is that actually .71 teeth per inch, or does it have a different meaning?

I need to get some new blades for a portaband. Dewalt lists a pile of blades here. The confusing thing to me is that while some list a integer TPI (say 14 TPI) others list a fraction (10/14). Does that mean that that is actually .71 TPI? Or does it have an entirely different meaning? Thank you!

Sounds like Hitachi is a clear favorite in this thread for framing nailers. But nobody makes a decent smaller nail gun? A new one every two years is terrible... Aren't most nail guns user serviceable?
