I have mine mounted to a furniture dolly and its had at least 10 home spots in my shop. I just can't imagine not being able to move my parts washer around
My cousin and I made a pact when we were sixteen that we loved cars and would never work on them to make a living. We knew then that it would take away the fun.
Well, that lasted about 2 years. I spent 7 years wrenching for independent shops and then opened my own shop. My cousin went into...
Great idea! I have done exactly that to sharpen a center punch and a scribe but I do have a dedicated grinding wheel for the tungsten. I heard a very cool explanation for why you never sharpen across the tungsten. It's because the grooves create 'speed bumps' that the current now has to...
I did grind it down a couple of times... I'm new at this so I kept balling it up.
I started making something that actually resembles a bead on the two vertical ones in the middle.
Brought a new toy into the shop:
I had to re-wire/configure the plug to fit my receptacle. So happy to now have a TIG/Stick/Plasma machine. I now have MIG, TIG, STICK, and Oxy/Acetylene rigs. I'm feeling pretty good about my MIG welding skills and looking forward to improving in the other...
Pulled the dashboard, under-dash-AC and heater box out of my 64 Galaxie.
Also trashed the insulation which after 50 years was the consistency of white toast.

Trying to get all the metal work done so I can get to primer.
I feel like once I...
Added a new project: '64 Galaxie 2dr Fastback. The previous owner started the project, royally screwed up the paint and decided to pass along the project via craigslist. She is all metal and includes a full new interior, new bumpers and very nice stainless trim. I will be striping the paint...
soda blaster! Do it out on your driveway with nothing more than goggles and earplugs and then hose away the mess.
HF has a kit for just over $100 by the time you buy the soda media. Great on cast aluminium.
I have four bikes that need work and I am still working on my "Stevo" bench. But we bought my niece a 2004 VW Jetta for 3500 bucks. She needed lots of work. Plugs, wires, coil pack, alternator, battery. Changed out 20 lightbulbs on the car converting many to LED. Changed out the headlights...
I would never put a TV in my garage. Don't listen to radio either. I have a "No-Commercials-Being-Shoved-Down-My-Throat" policy in the garage. CD's or Pandora One only!
But if I were you I'd put it over the Kegerator... the heat from the fridge will help keep the TV dry in humid weather...
I grabbed 22ft of butcher block from IKEA
(just before they discontinued this product)
for about $350. I think it's a big bang for the
buck if you can still find it...
