Emptied 1 of 6 cabinets to reorganize everything. The cabinets are corporate-style, with sliding vertical panels that I bought when my employer was updating the office. Paid $15-20 each, and they work great, in case you come across any similar opportunities.
Leveled the new New Age Pro base cabinets, and topped all three with drawer liner for protection. Plan is to use four Bed risers in each out the outer two cabinets as a base for the butcher block top- that’s today’s next step. The top is 84 inches long, so glad I bought the 72 inch level to...
Big day here in Central FL- emptied the whole garage out, then painted six metal office cabinets using small foam roller, then started installing about 600 sf of RaceDeck, laying it over green anti-freeze plant coverings as the under-layment. Hoping to finish the flooring tomorrow, and put...
Good job squeezing it in there! It’s got to be happier being in a garage now.
One time I squeezed a Miata in my garage- a folding chair promptly rolled off a nearby shelf and broke the entire power mirror right off, ugh.
Found an outlet that my contractor forgot to install in the ceiling; he’s going to get that put in, no problem. Going from 6 outlets to a total of 15- can’t wait to have such convenient access to power through the garage!
Reassessed how I will attach my 4 foot LED lights from the garage ceiling- instead of mounting them directly to the ceiling, I’m considering mounting a series of hooks from which I can hang any light, to be able to move them around as needed.
Measured my one step up into the house, to see if it its depth/tread could be covered by a single row of 12” Racedeck tiles- nope! It’s 14” deep, so I may explore other solutions…
Tested the new 4’ LED lights before installing- these have a 3-position switch that lets you change the color of light: 3000, 4000 or 5000. They work great, and the differences in colors are quite noticeable. I might have to order some more of these!
Put some paint samples up on the walls to select the color for the walls- ended up choosing ”Ice Cube” from Sherwin Williams. Hopefully it will turn out well!
Dragged in my new portable DeWalt table saw, after The Depot dropped it off- took advantage of their recent sale. Good to have one for many uses, but its initial use will probably be to cut RaceDeck tiles, once I figure out the layout and determine how many I need, and get them delivered.
Did some measuring to determine where to place my new 9 piece Pro Series New Age cabinets that just arrived. And found out I have room for about 15 more 28” wall cabinets!
