    (Architect here) you can frame a vaulted ceiling with 12" (+) deep 2x engineered joists @ 24" o.c. ..... Here's a photo of my "drive-thru" garage 23 feet deep.... you can increase that span with deep joists... I have a Danmar 7000XP 4-post lift (7+ feet clear underneath).... I put a 4foot wide...

    the floor area is about 660 s.f..... as you can see from the section drawing, I vaulted the ceiling based on VWs on the 4-post lift..... IT WORKS!

    Pigmented acid stain on the concrete + sealer + 4 coats of liquid industrial wax. The high gloss diminishes after a few weeks of traffic...
