    Williams Reversible ratcheting wrenches

The USA super combo are very nice; similar ratchet end to the older snap on ratchet wrenches. Picked the Williams up for $1 on eBay. Sent from my iPhone using Garage Journal

    Wright Combination Wrench

The USA Williams do have very rounded beams; thicker than the Wright, very big compared to other wrenches. Oddly the older 15/16 Wright is nicely rounded.

Reviews on the MAC tools 3/8 AXIS ratchets??

Own flex versions of Mac(12”) and proto (8”) in 3/8, both new style(through bolts for faceplate)The mechanism feels like it has very little slop, giving the swing a very tight feel. Personally, I very much like the feel of the mac compared to my Matco and (many) snap on. Can’t say it’s better...

11/16 combo wrench comparison Hazet, Wright , Craftsman industrial

Worked on older British cars, running into a 11/16 was not uncommon. Before I used tools professionally my cman (USA 2006-7) were fine, after they fell short quickly. So my cman wrenches were repurposed, perfect for turning into custom bent and ground tools. Sent from my iPhone using Garage...

Ratchet Issues: brand new Proto and SK 1/4 drive

@TacoTruck Yep, I agree. Some of my snap on 1/4 have been iffy, just the ease of getting a new one off the truck or rebuild right there vs mailing and waiting. I have adjusted some of my SO in the past, so a little finesse is fine with me. After tweaks both ratchets are amazing, different, no...

Ratchet Issues: brand new Proto and SK 1/4 drive

A long due update Proto: Exchanged for New, Still had skipping problems (less so then at first). Ordered a Rebuild kit, after repair, Skips only on first direction change infrequently (might be a lube issue?). Ratchet is Very very smooth and good enough to use. Replacement used a stout wave...

Looking to round out my sockets

Doubt you can go wrong with the ratchets your considering. Used the 36 tooth snap on(same as Williams?) very smooth ratchet, but underperformed in daily use compared to its higher tooth replacement. Personally very much like a lot of 36 tooth buttery smooth 1/4 ratchets. Picked up the mac/proto...

    Zoro - Declining Experience

New zoro customer this year, picked up a bunch of tools (pullers, boxes, sockets, ratchets, screw drivers, pry bars)with 20-25% off coupons; Zero issues. Free shipping on the boxes, pry bars, and 30lbs of puller was greatly appreciated. Always amused when zoro + coupon +free shipping beats what...

SK LP 90 15" 1/2" drive flex head

Same deal with mine, replaced the split washer with about 6 or 7 wave springs with the same OD. Feels perfect, slightly stiffer compared to my SO 1/2 flex. Springs cost around 6 dollars off McMaster. Can’t forget the extra glob of superlube too make the clicks extra smooth. Sent from my...

    Which longer 1/4" flex ratchet?

For the SO selection, the addition of hard or soft handles adds a good bit of extra length. I find the so hard handle 1/4 flex works best for me with the non handled version next. Both flex ratchets used much more then the longer ones/any other size. Had the proto 90tooth 1/4 flex, but had...
