    Us pro toolboxes?

US Pro boxes are NOT the same as US General from HF. The box you're looking at is nothing like the HF 44". These boxes are hard to find reviews on, but people seem to like them for the price in the UK. From what I have read, these are on par, maybe slightly better quality than a Halfords box.

    Consensus on bahco

I agree, the Irega adjustable wrenches are absolutely incredible! I love mine, especially the wide mouth comfort grip 8". It's so wide that it feels like a 12" and it's very comfortable to use. The grip is really easy to keep clean too :) It seems that the 72 tooth Dual80 Technology ratchets...

    Consensus on bahco

The Dual80 technology 8150 (1/2") and 7750 (3/8") are solid. The 6950 (1/4") does not feel at all like the SO T72. It's a weird feeling, feels more like their 60 tooth ratchets which by no means are bad. The files are top notch, I've been using their files for some years now and I love them...

    1/4" flex head ratchet recommendations

I'd say Carlyle R14F90 http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx/Ratchet-Teardrop-Flex-1-4-/_/R-CHQR14F90_0380525685 Cheap, 90 tooth, pear head, good quality, long at 8.25". Not a locking flex though.

    Where to buy Bahco wrenches?

I have both old swedish made Bahco and newer imported. In my opinion the hard tools such as wrenches, sockets and ratchets are still good. I've done stuff with those tools that I shouldn't have done, and they still work. The older imported pliers are horrid though. Here in Denmark, Bahco is...

Gearwrench 120XP Flex Ratchet Set Review

It looks more like an overview than a review. All of the information is either specifications or product/sales description. You should try going more in-depth such as - Weight, - Finish - Size (Head thickness, handle 'fatness') - Balance (well balanced, handle heavy, etc.) - Comparisons to...

new guy saying hi.. tool collecting and useing

Oh you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into... Welcome to the forums :) You should really check out these threads, they are probably the oldest, most active and definitely some of the most interesting threads if you ask me in the General Tool Discussion forum. Tools from the old...

    Rebranded Wera's?

Close but not quite the same. The Wera's are more 'lumpy' and the Kraftform series all have a hexagonal non-roll feature where the handle meets the shaft. Also, if they have a hex shaft, the larger drivers have a hex bolster as well.

    Wera Bit Ratchet

Woops my bad, both are 60 teeth! I'm just used to all my ratchets being 72 teeth :/

    Wera Bit Ratchet

I prefer the Facom R.PEPB Bit Ratchet, I like the design and feel of it better. It is also a bit longer which I find helpful (and more comfortable). The Wera bit ratchet is VERY small, like really really small. The bit is securely attached to the ratchet, no chance of it falling out. This goes...

OK, so what's up with this eBay auction?

I wouldn't call Bahco tools cheap chinese tools. They are quite established in Scandinavia and a part of SNA Europe. I'd call them mid-tier tools, but the S series like that is some of their cheaper models. They make ratcheting screwdriver that's rebranded as Blue Point (and some others). Their...

Wera screwdriver broke on first use

Oh dang! I have about 7 different sets of Wera screwdrivers (3 'regular', 2 VDE, 2 chiseldriver) and some bitsets. NEVER have I broken a tip like that. I suspect a manufacturing flaw. That should not happen.

    Another bit ratchet recommendation thread

Yes the angle is one of the reasons I like it. But the nmain reason is that the Wera is just a VERY stubby ratchet, way smaller than you would think. The Facom has a bit of length in it, and I also like the looks better. Both of them have 60 teeth, so they're pretty fine toothed.

    Another bit ratchet recommendation thread

I have the Wera and Facom bit ratchets, and Facom is by far my favourite. I recommend both of these. The Facom looks awesome too! Both of them are VERY low profile, the thickness is pretty much determined by the length of the bit itself + a few millimeters.

    School me on adjustable wrenches

Definitely can't go wrong with Bahco/Irega. I highly recommend the Bahco wide mouth slim jaw models with comfort grip. Channellock's might be easier to get and warranty, well actually I'm pretty sure they are easier.
