Anyone think of a product where quality has improved?

Been bouncing between avionics and those wafers since 4 inch. We don't even touch the wafers anymore.

A Pelican 0450 tool chest (sigh). Guess I'll wait until bonus time in Feb.

    Sema/AAPEX tools

Yes, my friend has told me a variation of this. I think I'm going to go next year and see what I can do. He told me that the vendors don't want to ship the stuff back so you can make an offer. It doesn't bother me to stay an extra day in Vegas!:lol2:

    Kent Moore tool question: J-8806

I haven't found one either. I bought a couple of K-M manuals on ebay. I found this PDF link: http://www.tocmp.com/manuals/Olds/1966/Chassis/03-FrontSuspension.pdf that shows the application of the tool. It is a ball joint press. Sema/AAPEX tools

A friend of mine is up there right now (goes every year). He told me that the vendors sell a lot of their stuff after the show is over. Any truth to that or is he just pulling my leg? I wouldn't mind picking up some "demos".

    Eastwood Torque wrenches?

I had some gift cards that were expiring and bought the torque adapter. Seems interesting, I'll try it out and report back on how it works.

    Proper tool for bushing removal

I did the bushings on my control arms recently. I used the Kent Moore tools (bought them on ebay) and used a spacer made from some 2" pipe cut in half when installing. However, it appears from the picture that both sides of the bushing are flared. I had that issue and I cut the bushing in half...

Auto A/C repair-invest in tools vs paying repair shop?

I live in Arizona and had my compressor seals go out last August. I DIY'd the system repair myself, bought a good gauge set (Robinair) online, a vacuum pump (1.5 cfm worked fine for me) at HF & a flush kit at Carquest. The others are correct - AC work can be unforgiving if you aren't detail...
