Fellows (and Ladies?)
I am adding a gas pack to my shop to allow me year round access with minimal discomfort.
I have read that the biggest killer of gas packs is exposure to the elements. With that in mind is there any reason not to install a shed roof over top of the gas pack, meeting...
I recently had a problem with my daughter's Saturn that gave me fits in diagnosing (P012, P2135 that morphed to a P0122, P2135 issue). The vehicle is now at a GMC dealership to have a replacement ECU programmed.
In diagnosing the problem I needed to see the throttle body and accelerator pedal...
Spazzyfry123,
Contact the city/county building permit office where you are at. I would think, from the experiences I have had in Charlotte, NC, that the permit office employees would be quite helpful in educating you as to what you can and cannot due. In my experience the permit departments...
Fellows,
Thank you for your suggestions.
I went ahead and ordered from Allpart Supply, Inc. before these suggestions came in.
I stretched my one unbroken cable out and measured it several times and kept getting the same length so I ordered a set of cables. I hope to have them by tomorrow or...
Fellows,
I jammed an arm on my twin post lift, swung a leg to far open when moving my vehicle out and the leg caught on a lip welded on the column when I was then raising the legs all the way up as that is how I store them, less of a trip hazard and at 5' 9" I am able to walk under the arms...
Lessons learned from my father:

Thank you all for replying.
I was thinking the same. The more of the arms involved the better and preferably arms from both sides.
Ideal would be to balance the load front to back on the carriages and on both sides of the lift.
bazzater, you want to see a video of a top heavy lathe do a face...
Gentlemen,
I am seeking opinions as to the safety, in general, of using one arm of an asymmetric twin post auto lift to unload a trailer.
The lift is rated for 7500 pounds. The brand of lift is Titan, a company that is no longer in business and of which extremely little information can be...
I have sent several mini Maglites back for repair. the kind that use two AA batteries in them. They have always sent brand new, in the blisterpack, replacments back to me.
I have one of the LED mini Maglites. These have a serial number on them. I have sent this light back for repair three...
Run 4 8awg wires, green (ground), white (neutral), red and black or black or blue, etc (two hots). Use a 50 amp two pole breaker. Use THWN copper wire. Use Dawn dish detergent for the wire lube, it's cheaper then commercial wire lube. This can feed a sub panel in the adjacent structure.
Vlad
PapaBearRusty,
My lift has/had stickers stating a maximum load of 8500 pounds.
Is your lift installed? If so could you measure the length of the upper crossmember and post the length please?
My crossmember is missing. I am planning to wing the measurement by installing the uprights, hoses...
Gentlemen,
Those of you that have a Mohawk A-7 lift or other Mohawk lift what do you use to lubricate it with?
What lubricant for the leaf chain?
What lubricant for the carriage roller to column contact?
What lubricant for the carriage follower cam to column contact?
What lubricant for the...
