Snap-On pricing has gotten absurd in the last couple years. Stuff that I bought 5 years ago is now a little over 50% more expensive. Their warranty is still excellent. I broke a socket last week. Apparently, our local truck has retired. A couple emails to corporate had a new socket in my hands...

Snap-On tends to be longer than most in the standard length. I agree that it would be nice to have the Wright wrenches a bit longer, but they're long relative to a lot of other brands. -Ryan

I always wonder "how grabby" a wrench needs to be. The WrightGrip tested very well on YT, but not as well as the SBD stuff. Though, so far the WrigtGrips have gotten the usually-stuck fasteners apart.... even some fuel fittings after flare nut wrenches have failed. -Ryan

Funny enough, I took caliper measurements myself for the same reason. My hypothesis here is that these Craftsman wrenches have the SBD grabby teeth "profile" as found in the Mac RBRT and USAG wrenches. Having the USAG wrenches myself, the open ends on these wrenches are very tight. Almost too...

Also: an extension of any sort functions like a torque stick. I try not to use extensions at all if I can get away with it. Shorter is betterer. I've had bad luck with prescription bifocal safety lenses. They never seem to work quite right, and they're pretty crude. It is nice to have to wear...

I get it. Most of the cars in my driveway use the same engine Volvo introduced in 1976.... ....but fuel savings with modern small engines pays for the equipment pretty quick. -Ryan
