Atlas FM9SL Scissor Lift Flush-Mount Install

Download the install manual - it has specs for concrete although it's not US spec units for sure. http://cdn.gregsmithequipment.com/documents/manuals/scissorlift/Letter_FM9SL_Manual_ATTD-FM9SL.pdf Page 19 (The lift must be placed on a 425 concrete floor with FEB 215 K reinforcement, 6” thick...

Atlas FM9SL Scissor Lift Flush-Mount Install

As other suggested, pull the lifts, seal and waterproof the concrete pits. If moisture continues to be problem, install pair of heated mats (low wattage used for starting veggies indoors) to prevent condensation and actively dry the concrete. All that rust / flaked power coat should be remedied...

I have accu cage like OP, but white face and it also suffers from being too suffers from being 2-4 psi off at around 30psi, but if that is all you use for balancing front/rear pressure during competition.. its OK. Garage Floor w Epoxy base w Polyaspartic Top Coat - NOT DIY

I can't speak in regards to contractor PPE usage, but there was no visible dust. Giant vacuum outside did a fantastic job of keeping work dust free. My leaf blower kicks up more dust! They taped off the edge of the lifts (there is stainless edge all around that perimeter) and line at the door.

Garage Floor w Epoxy base w Polyaspartic Top Coat - NOT DIY

Cross post from garage build thread. We hired local flooring contractor from Rockaway, NJ (not sure if link to contractor is allowed?) to coat our roughly 21 x 21 ft garage. Fairly new slab ( 2019-ish ). I wanted something easy to clean, non-slip and bright. I think we got it right on all...

Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT 1920 stick frame garage gets approved for an overhaul

We finally got around to having garage floor coated. Contemplated DIY, but hauling large tools, risk of messy clean up made pulling trigger on hiring a pro easy choice... much like concrete work! Detail grind around lift perimeter and around the walls, followed by large area grinder, full...

Atlas FM9SL Scissor Lift Flush-Mount Install

I need to move electrical cabinet to coat the garage floor. Anyone know the type of plug/cap I would need for the hydraulic connections at the pump? I want to cap the pump and the line set. I skimmed enough to know they may be 1/4 BSPP. Not even sure anymore what I did with original hoses...

    Tool box condensation

Try low cost, low wattage heating mat placed in lowest drawer. Like stuff they use for getting plants started in cold green houses. Upside - tools are not ice cold in winter.

    clear organizer parts boxes

I resorted to Stanley brand organizers after years of mismatched home depot, harbor freight, ice cube tray [CHEAP!!!] method of organizing. Most annoying thing is a brand discontinuing a size you bought and now you have mismatched stuff that does not fit well into whatever it was organized in...

    Water Heater Options

We made switch to tankless 2 years ago. Replacing a conventional hot water heater and hot water boiler with a Rinnai combi unit. Hot water delivery is *slower* to start, but it's as hot as you can bear and with unlimited fuel, unlimited hot water supply. With no metric as to water usage before...

    DIY Slab concrete

Prep looks great. Risk of having to do it again, means I would hire out. It ***** to break apart and dispose if it sets off before you got it right. It's HEAVY stuff.. esp if you are not used to moving heavy AF STICKY shovels full of that magic sauce. Upside - tons of videos of people doing...

    Filling void under concrete

Most concrete mix plants can make very watery blend of grout to fill gaps such as that you speak of.

Any chance of building a 44x60x16 garage for $70,000 with a lot of DIY?

Start w easy part.. in most locales that follow UCC, 16ft tall "stick" wall requires signed engineered drawings. For those heights, esp is building in wood, you'll most likely end up w pole barn type design w composite upright columns at 8-10ft intervals. You can certainly fill gaps w stick...

Ideas on keeping rain water out of side door? (pictures)

You're going to want to dig out dirt against siding, put in some sort of french drain and material that carries water into the drain basin. If that is low spot, you may need mechanical means ( ie PUMP) to move water away from the building. Is inside of that garage FINISHED? Is so.. where the...
