US PRO Toolboxes Likely To Be Replace With New Designs

I'm thinking they're coming soon. I went in for a $349 44" to match my other, found an open box for $289, and talked them down to $249 since it was missing a side handle. This was Albany, OR.

    Pro Tech vs weather guard

You can't go wrong with either. That said, I have black Weatherguards on both of my pickups and buy them for all our Foremen when they get new pickups. My oldest box is right at 10 years old and is still carwash tight.

What work pants do you guys wear?

I'm a Project Manager for an industrial contractor in the PNW. About 2 months of the year I work papermill shutdowns on my tools. My goto work pants now are Prison Blues Jeans. They're made my inmates at the Snake River Correctional Facility in Oregon and are fairly cheap. They also last...

Any real difference between brands in big wrenches?

We use a mix in industrial settings. Our guys provide up to 1-1/4" and the company buys bigger. The higher end wrenches have better fit and finish and are typically lighter. We have a mix of Proto, Armstrong, Stanley, and a few Pittsburg thrown in. They typically get lost or stolen before...

Newb seeking tips for working with black pipe

3 wraps of Teflon tape is correct. In hard to seal threads, use 3 turns of blue monster Teflon tape and a a light coat of a pipe sealant (dope). Then tighten the **** out of it. Let it sit overnight before pressurizing. We do this almost daily at work.

How big of a wench should I buy?

There's the common sense finally coming out. 3,500-5,000# is the sweet spot for a flatbed trailer winch. The only guys I know with larger winches on their race car trailers are ones that have old take offs from their 4x4's.

    floor sweeper

I've used a similar type at a Boeing facility a couple years back, Rubbermaid maybe? It worked excellent and did not make a mess. Picked up misc dust and grinding debris easily.

    2017 Lowe's deals/sales/clearance thread

Wow. Way cheaper than my store. I came here to post the Torin rails. 3/8" for $10.79 1/2" for $7.19 Regardless a good price and I bought all they had. I would be willing to trade a 3/8" for a 1/4" if someone has an extra.
