Need Advice on 20' Wide x 14' Tall Garage Door

Try looking around for local residential garage door installers. That's what I did and got him to order me commercial grade doors. I got a 14'H x 18'W overhead garage door and two 12' x 12' overhead garage doors installed for $2800.

Nitrogen for tire inflation at home?

I think the nitrogen filled tires are just another scam to get a little more money out of your pocket. The air in our atmosphere is already nearly 80% nitrogen. I had a guy at a tire shop give me the sales pitch on everything it would do (including reducing the chance of flat tires he said) for...

If I'm understanding you right, why not go with roof trusses instead of ceiling/floor joists and rafters?

Getting Power To A Wireless Internet Tower (Not Garage Related)

Had Hughes Net for two years and it was awful. Only 1 mb speed, $60 a month, and there was some crazy data cap on it. Basically had about one hour of usage per day then they would slow it down to less than dial-up speed. Oh, except for between 3am and 5am, then you could use it all you...

Getting Power To A Wireless Internet Tower (Not Garage Related)

He sent me a message saying it uses 1 amp at 18 volts per hour. With only a 1 amp draw buried wire might not be too bad $$$

Getting Power To A Wireless Internet Tower (Not Garage Related)

Thought about that but it wouldn't fly. My uncle is living in a RV in the woods near my house and is buying my house when I get the shop/apartment done. They wouldn't pay anything since it wasn't a permanent residence so he's piggy backing off me.

Getting Power To A Wireless Internet Tower (Not Garage Related)

I'm about 25 miles south of Huntsville as a crow flies. You mean Muscle Shoals, Florence, and Tuscumbia? Yeah, we tend to have some crazy weather around here in the winter. No big ice storms in awhile. Last year we got the biggest snow since I've been alive and a week later it was 75 degrees...

Getting Power To A Wireless Internet Tower (Not Garage Related)

Thanks guys. I'm trying to get in touch with the guy about how many amps it draws. Thanks for link to the voltage drop calculators. My local power company will only help pay for new service if it is a new residence. They pay the first $3600 and you pay the rest. It was around $12,000 to get...

Getting Power To A Wireless Internet Tower (Not Garage Related)

Not garage related but I figured there was plenty of people on here that could answer this for me. I'm in the process of starting a shop/apartment build on my property. I live out in the middle of nowhere on top of a mountain and we have no options for internet. A few years ago I found a guy...

Isn't it about time the world decided to go all metric or imperial..?

What do you call a 2x4 in other countries? I know they're not technically 2" by 4" but do they say "Let me get 4 of those 50.8mm x 101.6mm - 2.4384 meters long"???

    Legacy Industrial Holiday Savings

Scotty, I'm in the beginning stages of a pole barn build. Hopefully, depending on weather and $$, I'll be pouring concrete soon. I'd like to go ahead and take advantage of the sale you are offering. I've researched it a little bit. What would you recommend for a home shop that willl see a...
