    LM8500 Wall Controller Failure.

I am glad I found this thread! While I was traveling out of state this week I received a 5 am phone call from a neighbor telling me that my shop garage door was open. They were concerned since they rarely see the door open and never see the door open unless my truck or Tahoe is in the driveway...

    Adding on to Pole Shed?

I assume you will be widening the building on the side, if so I would keep the same roof line. Since it is a new building it will match better. Keep up posted on how it goes. I am planning on adding a 16'x60' extension on my old Morton building, built in 1995. I contacted them last week and...

    Multiple mini-splits in same space?

I have two air handlers inside and no fans. The air handlers distribute the air extremely well. I could be happier with the systems.

I put two of the large Mitsubishi systems in my 72x54 shop and they work well together

    Direct lift 4 post

I've got both a Direct Lift and a BendPak. The BendPak is definitely a higher quality lift but the Direct Lift had been fine. I do like that the Direct Lift does not require air pressure to release the locks.

    Mini-Split Owners - What's your Summer/Winter monthly costs?

This may be an extreme from a climate stand point but at least it is a point of reference for you. I'm in the Fort Worth area and installed two mini-splits systems in my shop which is 54'x72' with 12' side walls and 22' peak ceiling (open). The month of august where temps were a low in the mid...

You guys got me wanting a mini split for my apartment now! Some questions though.

I suggest getting ahold of eComfort. They are really close to your location. Give them a sketch of your apartment and some basic information and they can size the system and put a package together for you.

Is a Mini Split a Possibility for Me?

It looks to me like you could mount the air handler on the wall opposite the windows and place the condenser adjacent to your current ones. Use the line hide system to cover up the line sets and it would look nice and clean.

    Mini Split Install DFW Area

Yes, that is my Judge. I've been a Pontiac guy since high school but love all muscle cars. I got the mini-splits up and running today. I was amazed at how fast they cooled down the 3,900 sf area. Its 100 degree today and the inside of my shop is at 70 degree. The contractor I hired to complete...

    Mini Split Install DFW Area

I also purchased the "Line-Hide" from eComfort. The straight pieces come in 6.5' lengths. I'm unsure which line is the "liquid line" but regardless both of my lines are insulated there full length.

The walls of my shop are insulated with 6" vinyl faced fiberglass insulation with an R value of 19. The roof has 2" of polystyrene (Styrofoam) and 6" vinyl faced fiberglass insulation. My door is a 12'x12' insulated panel door. I added a rubber seal to the top of the door and the side seal up...
