Thanks for heads up response to my post.......I've checked out the posts that you listed and agree that it is still a "gray" area. I will share that I have a collection of pre-48 wrenches from 6 thru 60......yes I know they should be black but hanging from my 12 foot garage/shop ceiling they are...

After looking thru most of the posts in this thread I haven't seen another one with "Pat'D" stamped on the handle ......I'm assuming it is probably dating between "Pat Pending" and the 1727..........Pat of 1929....any insight as to the date would be appreciated......
