    Wall Mount Garage Vac

Interesting, you use the wall mounted vs. the metro vac for cars? Also, doesn't that metrovac mount to the wall? Yes I realize this thread is a little old. Been reading on a lot of these (I have to read every review for every purchase I make), the vacu-maid seems to have the highest % of...

Garage Door Security, Automatic door closer

Do you have an alarm system? I have a sensor on my garage door via my alarm system. Using alarm.com, I get a text and/or a push notification if my garage door is left open for a certain period of time (15 minutes, IIRC). I also have it set so that opening the garage door will trigger an alarm...

Good parking mats for an epoxy floor?

I don't know if I "need" them or not, the painter recommended it will help protect the floor from the tires. Hopefully the floor will stand up fine without them, but better safe than sorry.

    Anyone have/use a Sjoberg bench?

Thanks for the replies. As for the top, I don't mind much if it gets dinged up a bit, just adds character IMO. I am also considering building one, but find in the time vs. money tradeoff I usually find myself shorter on time than on money. The made in China thing bothers me a bit, given the...

    Anyone have/use a Sjoberg bench?

I need a new workbench for my garage and I have limited space. Will be used for general purpose type stuff (nothing major, no welding or anything like that), may also use it as a reloading bench. I like quality wood tops. Would be looking at probably either the Nordic Plus 1660 or the Elite...

Good parking mats for an epoxy floor?

Hmmm, that looks like it could work - does it stay in place well with the vehicles constantly pulling in and out of the garage?

Good parking mats for an epoxy floor?

I recently had an epoxy floor installed (just had my painter do it) and he recommended using some kind of parking mat for under the tires, especially for my Corvette which sometimes sits (2nd car). Sounds like a simple product but haven't quite found anything perfect yet. There are products...

Zip-tie fix for garage door security

No. Through the garage door would be an unlikely exit for me, and the bolt can be removed in about 1 second.

Zip-tie fix for garage door security

Thanks for the help guys ... I drilled a hole, which must have been a fraction of an inch from where it should have been because a zip tie didn't quite offer the resistance (I could just barely engage the release). Instead of a zip tie, I used a small bolt, which seems to work fine:
