Here's what the bottom looks like. The holes are 1-1/4 eye to eye spaced and where the holes are is only 5/16 thick. Hope this helps a little more . Thanks for all the help.
No its not a solid 3". It is semi hollow underneath. I'm going to try and get a underside pic. It has through bolts on 4 spots near the edges For mounting the table to whatever .
