    And so it begins

Nice clean job on the footings... I have a completed (almost) 30X36 that I started in Oct. 2003 witha full loft upstairs. It took a little over a year for me to build it on the weekends and any spare moment that I could get but it was all worth it. You'll be glad once it's all...

    Garage update photos

It looks like you'll be needing some fill, are you backfilling with dirt or gravel? Where in Connecticut are you. I used to live in Pound Ridge, NY - right on the Stamford, CT border. Looks good, keep posting your progress.

Plus it's been a "money pit" drain on me for the past year. BTW, I've lived in NY most of my life just outside NYC, my folks had a place in Hopewell Junction,NY and I spent many summers up there. Yes, I believe that someone was watching over me also! I'll be 54 in July and I keep in pretty...

    Concrete costs..?

Cost of concrete depends on your area, shop around and sometimes you can get it done for almost the cost of material which in my area is about $85.00 per cubic yard delivered. Thanks, I'm very proud of it. That photo was taken back in December. I'll post a more recent photo as I finished most of the landscaping around it now.

    My New Garage 1300000$

Judging from the construction I see there and all the conduits and pipes, that looks like a very serious commercial building.

This is a pretty cool site, who would have thought that there was a forum for garage-a-holics like myself. I built this myself and it took about a year. It's a three car detached garage with a loft. Footprint is 30'X36' with a 36'X16' loft upstairs. Ceilings downstairs are almost 11' upstairs 8'.
