I am currently trying to decide between two products for my shop slab, Ballistix or Ghost Shield. Ballistix being a two-part coating and Ghost Shield being more of a sealer. The SMEs on this forum can provide better information on these products.
Not sure if you saw but Armorpoxy just...
Nice work and cool garage. You're going to be a pro applicator.
Did you consider any other coatings such as Ballistix by Armor Poxy or TS210 by Concrete Sealers USA? I am currently researching which type of coating to use and have seen great reviews on both of these products. Hoping not to...
Ran 2-2-2-4 aluminum MFW in 2" conduit to 100-amp sub-panel fed with 90-breaker in existing garage panel. The distance between panels is about 60'. Code allowed grounding through a rebar stub up that was connected to the footing rebar.
The local L&I inspection supervisor was very helpful...
When planning for my Shop I knew I wanted a sink and water heater. No need for a Mens Room as there are plenty of bushes to water outside. Also knew the county would require I tie into and expand the existing drain field with any pressure water, both of which are not reasonable. The existing...
Sounds like a well lit space.
You mentioned that LEDs are polarity sensitive. Are they polarity sensitive on the low voltage dimmer side? What precautions do you take to make sure the polarity is correct?
Sorry for going back in time 4-years or so but I have a question about pictures in this thread from this post back to Jan 20, 2018 (start of tool (re) organization thread). All of the pictures just show the file name and extension (IMG_XXXX.JPG), no picture showing.
Any idea on how to get the...
I have been looking at Lilscorpion's posts on tool reorganization and the attached files just have IMG_XXXX.jpg and no photo showing. The particular post is dated Jan. 20, 2018 and titled Tool (Re)Organization).
Any idea how to view those photos? Lilscorpion seems to have some great ideas...
The high wall receptacles can be used for task lighting of signs that light up. I went back and put all of the receptacles on individual switches. If I had to do again I would use large gang boxes and installed multiple switches at one location. I've had several lessons learned.
I finished the temporary instal (temporary because the lights will have to come back down for sheetrock) of nine linear LED lights mid-December and wanted to wrap up this thread. I could only fit seven of nine in the picture.
Used the V-hangers that came with the lights and a screw into the...
I have not gotten the lights installed. I did put a male plug on one of the light's pigtails, hung the light (at 13-foot over one of the prescribed locations) using the the triangle brackets that came with the lights, and ran an extension cord to a receptacle that is energized. I couldn't...
Paying a visit would be great. I have help coming today to pull wire (except for the lighting feeds) as we installed boxes and drilled yesterday afternoon. I will try and message my phone number to you.
Thank you for sharing your lighting experience. I ended up going with 9 of these fixture in a 13-foot x 13-foot grid which will be 70-foot candles at 13-feet high:
PROLIGHTING® 105 Watt Linear LED High Bay - 5000K - 14,175 Lumens - 120-277V
Also added a dimmer/motion sensor switch and got the...
I had a slab poured for my 40' x 40' shop. The guy used concrete that had fiber mixed in and also used steel mesh sheets. Recommended I have control joints cut the next day. We chalked 2-lines running east to west and 2-lines running north to south, each 13'-apart which is perfect since...
Disregard previous post. I did find these in the commercial section of Prolighting that are similar to the specs on your light. Do your fixtures have 8=lamps?
