Yep, they do use a pliable plastic shelf bracket. Personally, I have never had a problem with them. Forget the "L" brackets till ya need them. I love these cabinets after 2 years, no regrets whatsoever. They clean up nice and resist any grime. Weiser PS: I see that this is an older post but...
