What about some type of clutch like those used in harness systems where you can pull on the cable all you want but unless you crank the handle it won't spin? Or what about a hear with a locker so you could always use the weight to hold it against the stopper? Could you just add enough tension...

My new t8 replacement led lights failed at work almost everyone of them... but that is in a blast freezer at -15 degrees..... the rep is getting us a different style to try

I spray my house inside and out with a product called tempo it has 15 day residual if it doesn't get washed off. A squirt around the weep holes and they will be dead before they make it in the house!
