    Question for heavy diesel guys.

Factory or nothing. I have insite, caterpillar electronic technician and the detroit diesel software specialize or do something like cat/cummins/detroit only. Honestly if you want to make money and you have to ask these questions stick to chassis work and basic repairs with a low shop rate...

    Broke my 24" breaker bar

I have both long flex head ratchets and have broken them I believe 3 times. My dealer ordered two new style heads with the torx heads on top of the ratchet head hopefully they work better.

Feedback on Lincoln Electric Pro-Mig 140

I believe I have the 180. Buy from a welding supply store vs big box store. The machines sold at welders supply stores don't have "tapped" voltage knobs. Gotta love that lincoln arc quality!

    I love Snap-On tools ..BUT

Re: I love SnapOn tools ..BUT Wright doesn't I know that for a fact. Maybe the new stuff is better than the 20 y o wrenches etc that I have. I do need to pick up some stawhlwille and hazet stuff, havent had a chance yet. The koken stuff looks nice as well.

    I love Snap-On tools ..BUT

I was hanging upside down in the bush fixing a pump on a excavator last week. That 1 1/4" semi stubby saved my ***. A lesser wrench would have spread from the force of my 54" pry bar against it. Saved me at least a few hours of freezing my A** off. That to me is worth it.

    I love Snap-On tools ..BUT

Re: I love SnapOn tools ..BUT I work on heavy duty trucks/equipment. I use tools to their limit everyday. Farm shop? You've got to be kidding me? Compare the times/quality of work of a "farm shop" to a real shop and you'll understand how funny this is to me. I couldn't count the times I've...

Anybody else hate that all Snap On tools are going to soft handles?

I'm building a set of those hard handles. Best ever made imo

Anybody else hate that all Snap On tools are going to soft handles?

IMO hard grips are more functional I'm definately not a tool polisher. I gaurantee a 70s contour grip screwdriver handle can be used faster and more efficiently than the new instinct handle. You sacrifice a slight amount of initial torque for a bulkier slower turning handle with the instinct...

Anybody else hate that all Snap On tools are going to soft handles?

Pisses me off to no end. Almost no one likes them so wtf? Why make them? Having gummed up difficult to keep clean rubberized handles slow me down as they do not wipe clean with some brake clean and a rag. Drives me crazy. I despise everything comfort grib and instinct  My 70s snappy...
