I just saw a video showing the two rings. This gentleman, just ignored the smaller one and replaced the larger. Never said Boo about not do it. He has a lot of video's on U tube and does alot of repair on tool (he is from Irland).

I recently took my 11240 Hammer Drill apart. I found that the piston has two O-rings on it. I have the 11240 Diagram and it doesn't show both O rings on it . The diagram shows two O-rings close to each other, but I believe that one is for the piston and the other is for the striker next to it...

Dyermullet, I looked at the http: that you sent. Combo stator and armature. More importantly....... look at the bottom shaft of the armature. This is the armature that will work. Doesn't have that ring around it. Flat and a stop. That is if they send that one to you.

I bought this Drill for $25.00 knowing that it was bad. The armature and service kit was around $150. I pretty well new from the get go that it was an armature. Looked like it was a piece of cake to fix. One last comment about the purchased armature. Those were pictures of armatures I got...

An "_RT" means that it was reconditioned. DANSKI0224 how do you know that it isn't an OEM part???

This is the shaft that I was trying to show that is the correct one. See the differece on bottom of armatures!

Never mind about the second picture. It is the same as the first. I copied it wrong

Both shafts mic out nearing the same at just under 8mm. But one shaft fits and the other must be pressed.

Hopefully, the bottom attached file shows the differenct in the shafts that I've been talking about.
