Is it Snap On roller? What model?

I can't say for sure based on that pic, but to me it looks suspiciously like the cabinets that companies like Sunnen used to sell their shop equipment in. Does it have drawers or widely spaced shelves?

    building up embankment...Help!

25% is fairly severe for an unprotected (no new vegetation) slope. I'd say pay attention to the advice above and pack the snot out of it damp. After that there are erosion mats that we apply to small dam sides and new ditch slopes, particularly around bridges. There's many variations of it...

    Insulating above garage worth it?

Up here I wouldn't recommend anything less than a foot of insulation in that space, but obviously the Canadian prairies see more sub zero temps than you do. There doesn't appear to be any vapor barrier under those rafters... perhaps somebody in your climate zone can chime in on that as I'm not...

    New Shop Lighting

My lighting is a combination of LED's and T-8's because LED's were still very expensive when I started, but I would go all LED today. Light placement also plays a very big role in usable light. Before I went farming I painted cars for a few years, so you can see my sidelighting is influenced by...

T8 4' strips lights for shop?

My shop was a combination of T-8's and LED's because back then the LED's were still very expensive. If I was doing it today I'd go all LED... I agree with the above, sell the stuff you don't really want and do it right. Start saving on power bills now and let them pay for themselves.

    Lights dim

Not sure how your house is hooked to the incoming line, but I have buildings where the mast goes up and attaches to an incoming triplex cable. The attaching clamps have been known to loosen in the wind or corrode over time (the ones I replaced were installed in the 70's so newer than yours). If...

    The worst ratchet ever...

I'm a little surprised to see the comments about the MAC ratchet... I have a 1/4" in the drawer of my toolbox that has been a favorite since I bought it in the late 70's. It has the directional lever on it, so maybe it's a different style than the previous post mentioned. As for 1/2" stuff...

    pex diameter? please share yours

This is my electric boiler setup. It's been running since last fall and I love it. My son put a similar unit in his shop but it's got a cool piece of chrome checkerplate on the backboard. We both ran 1/2" Pex on about 16 " centers, with closer spacings near the outside walls. Works great.

    Whtbaron from Manitoba Canada

Hey guys... ended up here after doing a Google search trying to find out what happened to Welding Web. I am a relatively small acreage farmer (just a section) so the Wheatbaron acronym is tongue in cheek. I've used this nik on numerous ag sites as well as the HAMB, Welding Web, Pogo, P 15/D24...

    Welding Web Forum?

Hey BD1... I've been trying to get on for a few days now too. Found this post on a google search and that's the first I've been able to find on the topic. I've lurked around here and the HAMB for a while too.
