Mini split for cooling / dehumidification only

Personally I would just eyeball the flairs and make sure they are still smooth, if not I would redo them.

Interested in 3D Printing - Recommendations and Hype vs. Reality

TPU works fine for printing stuff like you are describing. I have a TPU carb gasket on a snowblower that has worked fine for 2-3 years. Lots of people print all sorts of intake tubing with it. This guy goes into a bunch of detail about printing TPU adapter boots for putting different carbs on...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I had 3-4 printers going mostly nonstop for a couple weeks printing different size bins for all my hardware. I was using my Flashforge AD5X printers loaded with the same filament in all four spots so they would automatically switch to the next roll as needed, then filling the empties every...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I wouldn't wish those S1s on anybody, I have two I haven't touched since last fall because of all the bed leveling, firmware, and AMS issues. I really hate them. I have had and still have tons of different brand printers, those are by far the most frustrating I have ever dealt with in my 15+...

Interested in 3D Printing - Recommendations and Hype vs. Reality

I have two Anycubic S1s that I have not used for 6 months do to all their issues, I would not recommend them at all. Bambu printers are pretty much the gold standard for 3d printers that you don't have to mess with all the time. I would suggest looking through this thread, same kinda question...

Mini split for cooling / dehumidification only

Lets see, now I'm a hack, too stupid, too lazy, or too set on scamming. You definitely need a hug or something. I never said I didn't believe in it, I said these words exactly - "I have mostly given up trying to use manual J load calculators for mini-splits, they really don't seem accurate...

Mini split for cooling / dehumidification only

So I'm a hack you would fire but you also agree with what I said? And what does selling more expensive equipment have to do with anything I said, where I actually listed a really inexpensive option that OP bought a year ago? Do you always just look for stuff to complain about? Do you need a...

2026 Garage Sale Thread (15th Annual)

I had one of those Microflame torch sets from Radio Shack when I was a kid, it was one of my most prized possessions. I was into everything from electronics to chemistry and used it constantly. Bent a lot of glass and brazed a lot of metal with it. Cost a fortune to run and the valves kinda...

    What type of roof?

If you think you might ever go solar standing seam is great for clamping solar panel rails to without poking holes in the roof. Every other type of roof involves lots of new screw holes for rail mounts..

    Monoblock heat pumps

Here is what they have to say about it. I can see how in some very specific scenarios this could be useful, but agree 98% of the time something else would make more sense. Is the MRCOOL Monoblock a PTAC system? The MRCOOL Monoblock is similar to a traditional PTAC system in that it is a...

Quotes all over the place for a metal building. What am I missing?

What the heck, this popped up about third post down when I hit the what's new button and I didn't look at the dates. Sorry gentlemen, my bad.

Quotes all over the place for a metal building. What am I missing?

That seems kinda steep if everything is the same, we see a 25-30% of project General Contractor cost around here. So a DIY $29k project would be around $37-ish with a GC involved.

    Direct Tools sale

The "blemished" ones are always new, the refurbed ones are always trash though, don't get those.

    Goodwill Tool Finds

Goodwill is one of the worst "charity" companies around, only something like 3% of their cash actually goes to help people, the rest goes in to a bunch of rich CEOs pockets. I don't support them. Habitat stores are way better and actually help people, plus generally have more tools at much...

Bonding Neutral in sub panel confirmation

In theory and per code, but I've seen it done many times around here with the same setup.
