Keeping adhesives from drying out after opening.

Not sure on bottles of adhesives, but my tubes of caulk I use a yellow or red wire nut over the tip, and wrap electrical tape around it. I've had tubes of caulk out in my shed that are 2-3 years old and still usable.

I screwed up with my old Wayne air compressor

You have the model number so find a parts diagram for it and order new piston rings. However, I don't think D15V is a model number as it doesn't cross reference to anything. Get the correct numbers and google search the model number with the key words parts diagram and it should get you...

    I forgot how much I love Rain-X

I need to give that a try on my wiper blades, they aren't that old but they like to make noise while going across the windshield. Ironically they're RainX branded wiper blades too LOL. They're not leaving streaks but they must be getting dried out since they're starting to squeak while moving...

    Harbor Freight Tools, I quit.

I've got several HF products, 99% of them work just fine, the other 1% a drill bit sharpener and a 3" x 18" belt sander failed within a couple uses...several power tools, hand tools, and pneumatic tools that I have they have served me well for many years with no complaints. I am just a home...

    Vehicle Ramps

A better purchase would be a floor jack and jack stands. In my experience with ramps they just slide around unless you have a way to secure them to the ground...I have a set of ramps and I much prefer jacking up the vehicle and putting jack stands under it than trying to use those stupid ramps...

    Selling R12?

If you are private selling it to a private buyer I don't think they would know except now they do because you posted it on a forum HAHA!!!! Anyhow, your buyer should know to track the amount of refrigerant and keep a log of the usage of it...many don't do that either? I haven't had to deal...

    Spreadsheet for Vehicle Info/Maintenance Log

I've made several spreadsheets over the years for various needs, and vehicle service records is one. Pretty easy to do, and can be as detailed or vague as you want. Mine I do the following: Besides just the following information on its own sheet, I create another sheet that gives the...

Why do I ever look for lumber in HD?

Many people automatically go to box stores for everything thinking they can get everything cheaper...in many cases its not true. I've ran into the same situation with building materials. Even better, the lumber at my closest Home Depot was like you found, damaged, junk. I recalled having a...

Old Hog Shed to Shop Conversion. Where to Start!

Must be a common thing to turn old hog/sheep sheds into shops HAHA!!! Mine is still a shell with a dirt floor...winter time everything is useless as its too cold to comfortably work out there....I do have a sub panel out there for 220V and all power ran to switches, lights, and outlets 110/220v...

Rebuild or replace compressor's cast iron pump I ran out of oil?

That's a CH pump, can easily find a rebuild kit for it and get it going again. About $80 and you could have it up and running again....https://www.ebay.com/itm/CAMPBELL-HAUSFELD-TUNE-UP-KIT-4B247A-44-45-46-VT273100-203003-470000-480400-4723/281111678429?hash=item41738fcddd:g:ugkAAOSwWxNYwur1

    Kid sized safety gear

April HF Catalog Shows New Color Cabinets

The only ones I've seen on display are the different colored service type tool carts, I'm not sure how other HF's are but mine doesn't seem to hardly setup any of their larger equipment either, guess they took after Home Depot in that department. If you don't want to display your large ticket...

    Converting from r12 to 134a

With my 1988 Ford Bronco 2 AC conversion it was pretty easy since the compressor needed replaced and so did all the o-rings, orifice tube, and accumulator. I just tore the system apart, filled the new compressor with ester oil to the level that was recommended flushed the whole system out then...
