Lights are up! Lithonia leds from Lowe’s. 27k lumens. About 100 foot candles at working height.

Turn key erection quote was $19k. By doing allot myself and hiring weekend labor, from the builder, I’ll only spend about $5k or so. And the guys are earning great Christmas money!

Working on the lighting and electrical plan. 9 fixtures on two switches. Should put 104 foot candles at working height. Will add a ceiling fan to this pic.

Got a bit more than half of the roof on last Saturday. Should finish up this next weekend.

Had a crew out on Sunday. Got the front and back wall up. Hoping they’ll come back this next weekend and knock out the roof.

Two walls up. Third started. Have to go back and tuck the insulation in at the bottom and put the rest of the screws in.

This is a butler building. There are allot of suppliers out there. I just have a connection with a butler distributor/builder. So I want this way. It’s a high quality, very complete kit. But I have no experience with others.

6” insulation in the roof. 3” on the walls. 16’ and 12’ doors in the front.

Skin starts and hopefully finishes over Thanksgiving. Might hire a couple pros to help me get that part right.

Used the scissor lift as a temporary center support. Worked like a charm.

Got started finally. Concrete last month. Been working in the weekends to get the steel up. Tractor loader and the scissor lift work great.

Mueller is better than the site I was using. I do like having two OHDs on the front, much more flexible.

Getting started on something that looks like this. 40x50x12' walls. 16' wide OHD on the front and a 12' wide OHD on the back so I can drive straight through. Few windows, couple of doors. All steel construction. Will be my shop and garage for the hobby cars. Not sure about where the...
