Working on finishing the wiring but man does it take longer than I thought it would. I need to add one more wall and that will be done. Then thermostat wiring.
The cans have to be IC rated (insulation contact).

Now my next question would be what type of insulation? Matted I think is...
I have a 24'X30' garage. At this point it has zero insulation. I am going to be using electric heat to keep it heated. It has 8' ceilings 1 window, two 7'X8' doors & 1 man door. At this point the type of electric heat is unknown.
I am going to use two 4 bulb x 8' light fixture down the center...
There is no natural gas in my area and when I had the house built it was built all electric so there is no propane. When the garage was wire I had 200 Amp service put to the garage because I knew I was going to be working in it. I wanted to be able to run a welder/plasma cutter/air compressor...
The oil filled heaters would get in the way of things and my garage/shop is cramped on space now.
I read this thread on radiant heaters http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22839 and would really like to hear more about the pro's and con's of radiant heat. Also which is more...

Then being stripped down for new axles and suspension.

Ok I am getting down to the wire here again this winter and still don't have the garage wired or insulated. But I hope to have it done so I can work this winter. Before I wire everything I need to decide what type of heaters I am going to run. I read the thread on the radiant heaters and that...
