Too many jokes here haha. What a cool find.

    Funny

That’s a good laugh haha. Will never understand why people have such a hard time with be expected to clean up after themselves. Make the mess, clean it up. No excuses. Though I have been known to take my own dishes to the kitchen in a restaurant. If I can’t then tidally stack them on the...

Eklind Is Closing Its IL Plant

I just wish people would go after the right people when these things happen. Every man and his dogs will go after china and foreign countries. But nobody goes after the domestic corporate executives and shareholders. I’ll never understand that. Its like when businesses get sold and people blame...

We made our own T Handles like that for getting into deep areas. Out of curiosity what software are you using?

Eklind Is Closing Its IL Plant

Thanks! Looking at their website they do in fact have long versions. I have always used the L shape ball end sets. I could have sworn they never used to but it makes my day knowing they do have them.

Eklind Is Closing Its IL Plant

Can't say I have heard of this brand. I like my Bondhus, though they always annoyed me not selling a long series. We used allen keys all the time in the tool and die shop. Never had any issues. I broke a few but that was because I was swinging on them on something way too tight. So I would...

Old thread by chance? Sometimes this happens if the videos are not longer active via that link.

    Skil vs Skilsaw: brand dilution?

We don’t have worm drive skilsaws down here. The ergonomics look great when I watch people using them in videos so I looked it up. Apparently the worm drive was due to the USA having the lower single phase voltage. Us having 230v made it pointless apparently. But they look so easy and...

New fast EV chargers and three phase power

Haha I like that. That’s my kind of humour. That I can understand there not being though haha. Kind of harder to argue the economic benefits haha. I’ll go to my grave defending 3 phase electricity but I just wanted to learn. I wasn’t wanting a huge debate. I didn’t mean to cause a stir. Just...

    Welding Helmet Recommendations

Haha define common. It was in aerospace shops in the 40’s and 50’s. Then add Race car and tool and die shops from the 50’s, 60’s. Especially in California. I’m just being a smart *** haha. It really depended on what you were doing much like today. If it was “Joes trailer shop” it wouldn’t...

    Welding Helmet Recommendations

It’s actually crazy how TIG is still considered this fancy exotic process. It was only invented in 1941, only 7 years before MIG haha.

    Welding Helmet Recommendations

Some of the best welders in the world use a 3M Speedglas. They have more budget friendly models alongside their pro line. I have even seen great welders using an old school fixed lens helmet with an autodarken insert. Don't underestimate the importance of comfort. It is something so many don't...

New fast EV chargers and three phase power

My favourite ethnic take out places are like that. Shop down stairs or in the front. Apartment in the back or upstairs. I was doing some reading on why Tokyo became that way. There wasn’t any money after the war for the government to afford to rebuild. So the locals would get together and...
