Nope. I pulled it apart earlier and wailed on the bolt and it didn't budge.
This one on eBay seems to have some sort of plate below the base and looks the most similar to mine. Most of the swivel 272s I have seen have a thicker boss where the bolt would clamp the base into place.
Does anyone know the best way to mount this vise to a maple workbench?
Is the bolt coming out of the vise just for extra support or am I missing some parts? The vise belonged to my grandfather and he had it mounted to a bench with some hardware and lots of washers. I'm sure he reclaimed it...
There is a business like that near Atlanta that I used to be a member of. It worked out great for me as I had no garage and two cars I needed to store. They guys that started it up said the most difficult parts were dealing with city codes because they didn't know how to classify the business...
I'm thinking of using whiteboard melamine sheets in mine. It should be bright, pretty cheap, no finishing needed and I can use dry erase markers to write on it.
I drywalled the upstairs of my old house start to finish and I'll be happy if I never have to sand another drywall joint.
The ice water works. I coiled 50' of hose off the compressor into a garage sink and filled it with ice water and used a short desiccant hose at the gun to eliminate water.
This guy added on an attached garage at my parent's house and just finished a kitchen remodel for them.

I have a set of the screwdrivers and I love the handles, they fall right where they should in your hand and are really easy to grip tightly.
I ordered both sets of nut drivers and a set of the micro screwdrivers yesterday. This place isn't far from me so they will be delivered this afternoon!
At Kmart.
